Hello — I'm Matt!

I am a roboticist that designs, creates, and controls vision-guided medical robots

From surgical systems to surgical robots, I've spent the last six years creating robotic systems that can benefit healthcare. At UCLA, I'm currently building the future of cataract surgery in the capacity of a postdoctoral researcher.

My areas of research:

  • Design, manufacture, and control of robotic systems
  • Intraocular microsurgical systems
  • Image processing of medical imagery including optical coherence tomography (OCT) using deep learning
